An evergreen, polyennial plant, it has lance-shaped leaves with a slightly wavy edge. The upper page is glossy and deep green, while the lower page is a softer, duller green. The flowers, tending to yellow in colour, are gathered in clustered inflorescences. The plant flowers in spring and can reach a height of 10 metres.

Harvest: Winter, March – April, all year round.
