Granita in Sicily it’s a serious matter and is prepared with fruit, no juice, no syrup, but if we don’t have mulberries, very seasonal fruits, not very common and that are born wild in modest quantities, the alternative is still being able to enjoy a granita by preparing it as a jam with a high percentage of mulberries that does not make you regret the fresh ones and here we are talking about the Sicilian black mulberry jam which is produced only with fresh and selected fruit.

Preparing a granita with this jam does not make you regret anything also because this almost unknown fruit in many places has such a way of being known and appreciated, but put on your list a trip to Sicily to taste our granita with one brioche with tuppo sitting at a table facing our sea.

Refreshing, greedy, with the bimby you get a perfect homogenization of the ice with the fruit that become a single thing.

Unfortunately, the bimby is not in everyone’s house and instead you could prepare it in an ice cream maker with the same quantities as in the recipe.

The alternative is to come to Sicily to eat granita at the bar, go to the company and take home many jars of this special jam.
